As I am sure you know by now you can add downloads even to Physical Products within the Wisdom Robot System. That’s great except that if someone were to buy that product, they’re going to get access to all the downloads you set up. Let’s say though you wanted to give them an option of only a single download but it was up to your customer to decide which one they wanted.
Here’s how to allow your customer to select a specific download:
- Go to Content and click Samples. Click Add a New Sample. Give it a title and upload a file.
- Go to Catalog and Click Product Attribute. Click New Attribute. Enter a Name for this and select on the drop-down box how you want it to be displayed in your page.
- Add Attribute values for each download. Click New Value. Ideally, you want to them this the same as the Sample but you might want a shorter version if you can do that, simply because there’s limited space for these bits of text. Name the Value and click the Add Value link.
- Go to the product you want to do this with and add the product options. Click Options and add a Free Download attribute. Under the Value column, select in the drop-down box the Value you wish to add. If the download is not free, you can add the price difference. Select the download under the Sample Download drop-down box. Click Add.
